Columbia Spotted Frog Tadpole
Amerana luteiventris (tadpole)

Columbia Spotted Frog tadpoles develop in cool ponds, marshes, flooded meadows, and quiet stream margins. They swim through submerged vegetation and shallow open water, grazing algae, detritus, and tiny organic particles. Their long finned tails provide propulsion while their developing limbs remain small; they may spend more than one season as tadpoles in colder waters.
