Bobcat Kit
Lynx rufus (kit)

Bobcat kits are born in secluded dens in rocky crevices, hollow logs, or dense brush, where their mother shelters them during their first weeks. As they grow, they play-fight with littermates and begin following their mother through forest edges, scrub, and other covered habitat. They nurse at first, then gradually learn to eat small mammals and birds brought or caught by their mother. A notable fact is that kits usually remain with their mother for about eight to twelve months while learning to hunt.
