Case-making Clothes Moth Pupa
Tinea pellionella (pupa)

The pupa remains inside a silken cocoon or its larval case in dark, undisturbed sites such as wardrobes, carpets, bird nests, and stored natural-fiber materials. It does not feed during this resting stage, instead using energy reserves accumulated by the larva. Protected by its case and largely immobile, it undergoes metamorphosis into the winged adult. A notable feature is that the portable case can continue to conceal the pupa among surrounding fibers and debris.
