Red River Hog
Potamochoerus porcus

Red River Hogs inhabit rainforests, gallery woods, swamps, and dense savanna cover across much of sub-Saharan Africa. They forage with their strong snouts for roots, fruit, insects, carrion, and other available foods, often becoming active in the cooler hours. Adults defend themselves with sharp tusks and can give surprisingly loud grunts and squeals.
