Red River Hog Piglet
Potamochoerus porcus (piglet)

Red River Hog piglets shelter in dense forest and thick riverside vegetation of central and western Africa. They stay close to their mother, rooting for fallen fruit, tender plant matter, and small invertebrates as they grow. Their striped coat provides camouflage among dappled leaf litter, and the stripes fade with age.
