Aldabrachelys gigantea
Aldabra giant tortoises roam the dry grasslands, scrub, and mangrove-fringed areas of the Aldabra Atoll. They browse grasses, herbs, woody leaves, and fallen fruit, using their long necks to reach vegetation. Adults can live for well over a century and are among the largest tortoises on Earth.
