Humphead Cichlid Juvenile
Cyphotilapia frontosa (juvenile)
Juvenile Humphead Cichlids live around rocky reefs in the clear, deep water of Lake Tanganyika. They pick small crustaceans and other invertebrates from near the bottom while staying close to cover. The bold banding remains useful camouflage among alternating rock shadows and open water.
