Swift Parrot
Lathamus discolor

Swift Parrots inhabit south-eastern Australian forests and woodlands, moving widely in search of flowering eucalypts and lerp-producing trees. They feed high in the canopy on nectar, pollen, seeds, and sugary lerp, using a brush-tipped tongue to gather food. This critically endangered parrot is a notably fast, direct flier and may travel long distances between seasonal feeding areas.
