Swift Parrot Nestling
Lathamus discolor (nestling)
Swift Parrot nestlings develop in tree hollows within forests and woodland, remaining dependent on their parents for warmth and food. They are fed regurgitated nectar, pollen, seeds, and insects while their feathers grow in. Loud begging calls help parents locate them in the dark nesting cavity.
