Swift Parrot Fledgling
Lathamus discolor (fledgling)
Swift Parrot fledglings leave the nest hollow and make short, uncertain flights through flowering forest canopies. They follow adults to learn where to find lerp, nectar, pollen, and seeds, while still receiving some food from their parents. Their green plumage provides useful cover among leaves as they gain flight control.
