Common Wasp Larva
Vespula vulgaris (larva)

Common wasp larvae live in paper nest cells, usually in sheltered cavities such as underground burrows, wall spaces, or roof voids. They are soft, legless grubs that depend on adult workers to bring chewed insect prey and other protein-rich food. In return, larvae produce sugary secretions that help feed the adults. A notable feature is that their whole early life is spent hidden inside the colony's comb.
