Fallow Deer Fawn
Dama dama (fawn)

A fallow deer fawn spends its first weeks hidden in long grass, bracken, or woodland edge cover while its mother feeds nearby. It relies on stillness and a spotted coat to avoid detection rather than running at the first sign of danger. Its diet begins with rich milk, then gradually includes tender leaves, shoots, and grasses. Newborn fawns have very little scent, which helps reduce the attention of predators.
