Codling Moth Larva
Cydia pomonella (larva)

A small pale caterpillar that lives hidden inside apples, pears, walnuts, and similar fruit. It feeds by tunnelling through the flesh and often into the seed core, leaving frass behind in the bore hole. When mature, it leaves the fruit to seek bark crevices, litter, or other sheltered spots for pupation. Its concealed feeding makes it one of the most damaging orchard pests in many temperate regions.
