Saltwater Crocodile
Crocodylus porosus

Adult saltwater crocodiles occupy rivers, billabongs, mangroves, estuaries, and coastal waters across the Indo-Pacific, and can travel far through the sea. They are ambush predators that take fish, birds, turtles, mammals, and other reptiles with explosive lunges from the water’s edge. Large adults use immense bite force, drowning holds, and rolling twists to subdue prey. This species is the largest living reptile, with big males exceeding five meters in length.
