Common Eastern Froglet Froglet
Crinia signifera (froglet)
Newly metamorphosed froglets leave the water's edge to shelter among damp leaf litter, grass, stones, and low vegetation. They hunt minute insects and other invertebrates, catching prey with quick lunges. Their small size and mottled colouring make them difficult to spot against muddy ground and debris.
