German Wasp Larva
Vespula germanica (larva)

German wasp larvae develop in individual waxy cells within a sheltered nest in soil cavities, wall spaces, or roof voids. They are legless, pale grubs fed chewed insects, carrion, and sugary liquids by adult workers. Unable to forage or defend the nest themselves, larvae signal hunger to workers and provide a sweet secretion that adults consume.
