House Fly
Musca domestica

Adult house flies are common around people, livestock, kitchens, refuse, and other places where liquid food and breeding material are available. They feed with sponging mouthparts, taking in liquids and soft dissolved food rather than biting. Their flight is quick and evasive, with rapid takeoffs and sharp changes of direction. Because they move between waste, animals, and food, they can mechanically carry disease organisms on their feet and body.
