Spring Peeper Froglet
Pseudacris crucifer (froglet)

Newly metamorphosed spring peepers leave their natal pools for damp leaf litter, low vegetation, and wet woodland margins. They feed on tiny insects and other small invertebrates, using their developing sticky toe pads to climb. Unlike the aquatic tadpole, the froglet breathes air and gradually becomes more adept at life away from water.
