Angelfish Larva
Pterophyllum scalare (larva)

Newly hatched larvae remain close to their spawning site in warm, slow-moving tropical waters. They cling to surfaces and live on nutrients absorbed from their yolk sacs before beginning to forage. Attentive parents may move the wriggling larvae between prepared sites.
