European Turtle-Dove Chick
Streptopelia turtur (chick)

This downy nestling remains in a flimsy twig nest in hedgerows, orchard trees, or open woodland edges. It is fed a rich crop secretion and later softened seeds by both parents, begging with quiet calls and gaping displays. Chicks grow rapidly but are entirely dependent on parental care until their feathers develop.
