Rock Dove Fledgling
Columba livia (fledgling)

Rock dove fledglings leave the nest to perch on nearby ledges, rooftops, and branches, though they remain close to their parents at first. They practice short flights, wing control, and safe landings while learning to peck up seeds, grains, and small food scraps. A notable fact is that a fledgling’s duller plumage and dark eyes gradually give way to the more familiar adult appearance as it gains flying skill.
