Common Buzzard Juvenile
Buteo buteo (juvenile)

Juvenile common buzzards roam farmland, moorland edges, grassland, and woodland margins as they begin hunting independently. They practise soaring, scanning from posts, and dropping onto prey, but they are less efficient than adults and may take more carrion or easy prey. Their plumage is usually paler and streakier than an adult's, helping observers distinguish them in the field. A notable fact is that many juveniles disperse widely before settling into a regular territory.
