White Sturgeon Fingerling
Acipenser transmontanus (fingerling)

White sturgeon fingerlings occupy river shallows and slower channels, usually staying near the bottom over sand, gravel, or mud. They search for insect larvae, small crustaceans, and other tiny bottom-dwelling animals. Their rows of bony scutes are becoming more distinct, providing early protection from predators.
